The "Proper Dog Management" course is a free training program organized by the UOSD (Urban Hygiene, Veterinary Medicine, and Stray Dogs Unit) of the Ragusa Local Health Authority (ASP), in conjunction with the Municipality of Ragusa. It will be held from October 19 to 23, 2026, every day from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Municipality's decentralized headquarters on Via On.le Dott. Corrado Di Quattro.
The course is open to anyone who owns a dog, wants to adopt one, or is simply interested in learning more about the topic. It is also mandatory for owners of dogs subject to mayoral ordinances (for example, cases of biting or aggression). Upon completion, a license or certificate of attendance will be issued.
The meetings, led by trained and experienced veterinarians, will address key issues related to animal well-being and responsible coexistence, such as puppy training, adult dog behavior, aggression prevention, health management, and owner duties and responsibilities.
The course has a limited number of places, with a maximum of 80 participants.
Registrations, which are mandatory, must be sent by email to anagrafecanina@asp.rg.it by October 12, 2026, attaching the completed registration form and a photocopy of an identification document with tax code.
